David Halpern, Chief Executive Officer

David Halpern is an excellent addition to the Transfer America Executive Team and brings with him a natural talent for building and growing strong organizations. David’s many years working with several retail store operations have taught him his most important business lessen yet; “Great employees make for a great customer experience.”

David earned his B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Yale University and after graduation, he decided to go to work on Wall Street as a financial analyst. After visiting one of his largest clients, Crescent Jewelers, on the West Coast, David fell in love with California and decided to relocate and now he lives here with his wife, Martha, his daughter, Rebecca, and his tiny Yorkshire Terrier, Pixie. His relocation to California led him to many years of service in all aspects of Crescent’s business including merchandising, advertising, real estate, finance, and his greatest passion; store level operations for which he was named the company’s Chief Operating Officer.

David has also had considerable entrepreneurial experience over the years, both as a business owner and as a business consultant. During his free time, David enjoys hiking, traveling, eating sushi and being with his family.
